Clarence Stephenson of Marion Center, Indiana County, notes that Andrew Simpson was perhaps the first casualty of the Revolution in Western Pennsylvania and that the incident was noted in Franklin’s Pennsylvania Gazette.
Stephenson wonders if it might be possible that the Andrew Simpson document of April 19, 1776, referred to in “Document Donated” (Volume I, Issue 1, Pennsylvania Heritage). might be the same person. Stephenson can be contacted at P.O. Box 176, Marion Center 15559.
