Rosemont College in Rosemont will offer five evening lectures at Lawrence Hall on successive Tuesday nights from September 21 to October 19 [1982] to celebrate the tercentenary of the City of Philadelphia. “The Main Line: More Than a Railroad” series will record the change brought about by the railroad in the area from Paoli to city limits, em­phasizing various aspects of its life and growth. Each lecture will welcome distinguished guests related to that field. Call for papers: “History Today: The State of the Discipline” is the theme for the 13th Biennial History Conference at Kutztown State College, Kutztown, to be held on April 15, 1983. The conference com­mittee invites proposals for papers on a wide range of relevant topics, including historiography, methodology, public history and innovative teaching techniques, from any specialized field within the discipline.
