In observance of Charter Day, the three hundred and seventeenth anniversary of the granting of the Charter to William Penn by England’s King Charles II in 1681, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission will offer free general admission to its historic sites and museums on Sunday, March 8, 1998. Visitors are asked to telephone or write these attractions for information about visiting hours and special anniversary activities.
