The Bicentennial Edition is a special issue of 14 features commemorating the American Revolution Bicentennial in Pennsylvania, published June 1976.

Our hope in publishing this special commemorative Bicentennial Edition of Pennsylvania Heritage is to provide a lasting memento of 200 years of Pennsylvania’s heritage. Special focus is given to The American Revolution in Pennsylvania during this, the Bicentennial Year. It is our earnest wish that this publication will be a valuable record of what we as Pennsylvanians point to with pride. Hopefully, the magazine will be timeless, and as such, a lasting tribute to individuals and groups who have helped our Commonwealth achieve its distinction.

Our contributors for this special issue include professional historians and writers, and with their expertise in their chosen areas. our goal is to provide an overview of some highlights that have transpired over these last 200 years in Pennsylvania.
