Conrad Weiser Homestead

On the Trail of History is a series of brief descriptions of PHMC's historic sites and museums.

Discover the excitement of frontier America by visiting the home of Conrad Weiser (1696-1760), the celebrated colonial diplomat, judge, community planner, farmer, church leader, soldier, and Pennsylvania’s foremost Indian treatymaker. Weiser mediated peace between Pennsylvania and the Iroquois Nation. Throughout 1996, which marks the three hundredth birthday of the famous peacemaker, the Conrad Weiser Homestead in Berks County will conduct commemorative programs and special anniversary events for the entire family.
